Did not know twins ran in my family!!!?!!??
Thank you to anyone who reads all of this💕
I am 21 years old & I will be approximately 9 weeks tomorrow with our first baby. (Birth control failed so this was unplanned but our baby will not be unloved, so blessed❤️)
I won't have my first appointment until 11 weeks because after telling my parents, I decided to switch to my mom's OB who delivered my younger sister & essentially saved her life
(My mom began bleeding really bad around 4 months, doctors told her she was going to lose my little sis. But her Dr. Johnson told her to chill, go on bed rest, and everything would be fine. Lil sis ended up being a micropremie born 3 months early at 2lbs6oz, and is now the healthiest most beautiful 15 year old.).
Anyways. I found out I was pregnant around 4 weeks 5 days with an IMMEDIATE super dark positive. I was in shock. I thought I had three minutes to wait😱 but nope, all it needed was 2 seconds. I didn't know you could get such a definitive positive so early!

Awful morning sickness started at 5 weeks, so much so there are days I have left work early because of it. Ever since I found out I was pregnant, Ive had this feeling that it was twins. Really for no reason other than a little thought in the back of my mind. Then I did research and found twins are more likely when you've conceived on birth control.
Well. When we told my parents earlier this week, my little sis started making comments about it being twins which I thought was ironic until my mom clued me in. TWINS RUN HEAVILY ON BOTH MY PARENTS SIDES.
On my moms side, her paternal grandmother was a twin, and twins ran every other generation on her side.
On my dads side, his maternal grandmother had 21 CHILDREN. MANY OF WHICH WERE SETS OF TWINS. Again, twins seemed to run every other generation on his side.
My mom and dad, and their combined 7 siblings were supposed to be the generation that had the twins. None of them did. And actually, quite a few of them had fertility problems or took up to a year + to conceive. So the theory is that twin gene is supposed to come out now in my generation with my siblings and cousins and I. (I have a male cousin who now has 2 little kids, but I understand that it's actually his girlfriend and her family history that would have determined twins) I am going to be the first female grandchild in our family to get pregnant, so I'm the first that could potentially show that twin gene😅
Ladies, what are your thoughts? Could I be having twins? I will feel blessed either way but something in me is secretly hoping there's 2 little beebs in there!❤️l
