Am I being too much?

My guy has recently started EMT classes. He's getting up at 6, going to class, not getting home until 7 PM, and then studying till midnight and doing it all over again, M-F. Am I being too much for being frustrated that I haven't seen him in over a week? He can make time to get drunk with the guys but I haven't seen him at all. I'm trying to be understanding but I feel like he could meet me in the middle here .....

I'd be frustrated too. If he has time for his friends, he has time for you. You should talk to him about it.

I am obviously in the minority here, but as somebody who has/is personally going through a very similar situation, I try and give my husband grace and know that this isn't forever. I'm not saying you shouldn't explain to him how you feel but try and be gracious and understanding about it. Know that he is most likely not trying to be malicious or hurt you. He is probably trying to do just the opposite, get s good job to support you down the road. I would talk to him and try and avoid judgements or yelling, just explain to him how you have been feeling and hear his side.

If it's for his basic EMT, it shouldn't be so hectic that he can't make some time for you... If it's for his paramedic, that does take a lot of study time and definitely requires more of his attention. I've done both. If he's making time for his buddies, he can make time for you. But, when it comes to school and studying it sounds like he's trying to make a career and better life. For that you should be proud that you have a man willing to put himself out there and do that for himself and you! 😊

I would ask him WHY he can make time for his friends and not you. I understand needing to unwind after working so hard but he can do that with you too. Just seems like you're not a priority.
