How do everyone feel about a minimum wage hike?

Ok you can kinda see my opinion 😊.. I feel it's bull** because I worked hard to get to where I am, I am college educated been working since 17 I am now 29. I live in SoCal and make $16hr..How can someone apply for a lower end job with no experience and make almost just as much as me?. I do understand u need to make a living wage, but make sacrifices not excuses. Live in a low income apt for awhile, stop eating out as much.. And work ur ass off to get out of that situation. And yes I'm a single parent, and no I'm not balling, but working towards a better future for me and my baby.

You do realize that if the minimum wage increases, your pay isn't going to stay the same, right? Pay will increase across the board. And prices will go up regardless because of corporate greed and well, capitalism. Thinking that anyone who works their asses off to make a living deserves to live in poverty (because that's what our current minimum wage is, a POVERTY wage) just shows how ignorant you are and honestly, people like you are a lot of what is wrong in this country today.

A minimum wage increase will shit on our economy more than it already has been in the past years. Prices in stores will go up and so it will not be beneficial. People think "oh i'll have more money to buy things" but then the price of bread goes from like $2 to $8 because of that wage increase so there wouldn't be much difference from now. You can't expect to get paid more and have all products stay the same price. That is not how economics work people

Do you know how many people who live in low income apartments who barely can feed themselves off of a full time minimum wage job? 
A shitty studio apartment near my college in the shadier parts of the city are no less than $1500/month. Tell me how I am supposed to just "get a low income apartment" when that is not a viable option at all? I have to commute an hour and a half every day now because I cannot afford a "low income" apartment, even with roommates. I know people paying a grand a month per person with four roommates.

Wages are decided upon experience, education and hours worked. If you donthave an education and only experience your wages might be lower than that of someone who was privileged to invest in their future. 
Raising the minimum wage give greedy corporate officials incentive to use artificial workers aka (robots). Mc Donald's already has electronic cashiers.  Even with Bill Gates Robot tax that still leave people out of work.
This notion of raising the wages DOES NOT HELP POVERTY it will only make it worse. And only targets those actually in the work force. What about those who don't have a job work under the table to make ends meet. What about them? They're left out because they don't have job? Fuck that that's fucked up beyond all belief.
LOWER THE COST OF LIVING! Philadelphia already has a proposed plan on how to lower the cost of living and are said to be on target for their goal. 
Again raising the cost to employ is going to raise the cost of living, raise the poverty line. And those who are living with out a job now, are only going to be even more fucked in the future. 
Also what about future generations when companies replace unskilled jobs for artificial workers. Future generations are then going to be forced to go to college to even be able to enter the work forces
This notion of raising wages is a short term fix followed by LONG TERM PROBLEMS

This is a more complex issue than your poll reflects. 
I am in a full time professional field that requires at minimum a bachelor's degree and licensure. With six years in the field and halfway to obtaining a master's degree, my salary breaks down to around $17/hour. I am a government employee in a right to work state, which means no collective bargaining and no wage increase without increased government funding.  As a result, I work three part time jobs. My husband does the same. 
If minimum wage were to become $15/hour, would government budgets increase to create the same percentage of income adjustment for government employees?  Unlikely since that would mean tax increases. 
Yes, I believe all adults working full time should be able to have food and shelter. But I have a hard time with the idea of being a highly educated professional with a lower annual income than a non-professional fast food employee. 
On the other end of the spectrum you have those who are providing the necessary work and goods that allow other jobs to exist. Without farmers, there would be no fast food industry. Yet many families are being forced to sell their generations old farms in order to survive. They are self employed, so a wage increase would not increase their take home pay but would impact their expenses. 
There is much that needs to change in our economy, government, and society in order to create more economic balance while maintaining accurate compensation for the position and work.  A minimum wage increase to the extent that people want is not a solution on its own.

For those of you bashing my opinion.. u do realize that even minimum wage jobs is going to cut their employees and Lil stores will soon have to shut down because they can't afford to pay their employees.. So now ur saying give me more money with less hours right? Close my family business because we can't afford employees right?...of course i want people to feed their family, but raising minimum wage is not the answer..
