Am I wrong?

My baby has a fever of 101.4 degrees Fahrenheit. My sister is over here yelling and insisting me that I shouldn't take the baby to the emergency because it will be a waste of time ?! She has no signs of sickness which obviously means her body is fighting off something! I don't know what it is so I would rather be safe than sorry! Who knows????

Anything 100+ go to the ER - to heck with anyone else. You do what is best for your kid.

they don't consider a temp in an infant high until 103, try tylenol and a Luke warm bath, if that doesn't help then id go. if it does help you could just get to the doctor tomorrow.

We generally tell people to go to ER at 102+, or if it's over 101 and not going down after Tylenol and lukewarm bath.

We go in to the aftercare office if we are at all questioning it. Sometimes it's nothing, but I would hate to not take her in and have something happen.

I worked at a daycare for a few years before starting 3rd. I was told anything over 100.4 was grounds for going home and anything 101 or higher is an ER visit or at the least a phone call to the doc. But bc of the holiday and that it's past 8pm, I know I'd go.

Every doctor is different. Our pediatrician won't even consider my kids having a fever unless it's 101+ and when it is she says unless they are exhibiting a personality different from their normal then it's most likely something small and to give Tylenol and then Motrin and then Tylenol. If it doesn't go away within 2-3 days to bring them in. However if they are lethargic or show no interest and completely different from their norm then she will see them. 
But if your mommy instincts are to take your child in then take them in. They will still see people according to severity so people will still be seen. Sometimes it's just nice to know what is going on.
