Induction??

Question

I am seriously considering talking to my doctor about an induction date set for 39 weeks. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences to tell about pros and cons of induction before I am 100% set on it!

I would say no to induction unless there's a medical reason.
I was induced as I was overdue, its more painful and there are risks.
If it's not necessary then I would wait until baby is ready to come

Yea I got induced with all my three others and plan to this time too if they offer it again. I get it done cuz I'm so sick of being pregnant and as long as the dr says it's ok and the baby is ready that IM READY lol I never had any complications or complaints other then it hurts terribly but what can u do lol

I was induced at 39.6 with my daughter. It's a long labor(at least mine was) but that's the nature of it since your body didn't start it on its own. My sil was induced through and had a labor that was less than half of mine. Both first babies. 
It's just an iv or some medicine to open your cervix. Mine was just straight pitocin. I survived lol. It was more boring and annoying that they said I couldn't eat. I got the epidural after my water broke and then it was all good.
It's your choice. At 39 weeks if your dr says you get to choose, then choose whatever works best for you and your family. I chose it because my husband only had so much time off for baby.

My sister was still in labor for over 36 hours after being induced. I would say if not medically necessary don't do it let that baby cook until it's ready to come out

Im getting induced at 39 weeks and it is elective i have other kids to think about and I’m not going to be in the hospital on christmas but my doctor would not have agreed if my cervix wasn’t favorable and its not my first baby !
