feeding to little?

My newborn is 2 1/2 weeks old & is eating 2oz every 2 hours, but seems like he is always hungry still. Any one else having same issue?

Are you getting enough wet and poopy diapers each day? We had this issue and it was because our daughter wasn't getting enough during feedings so her weight was dropping. She was constantly hungry because she wasn't getting enough even though she was nursing forever. Turns out she had a really bad tongue tie so we had to start supplementing with pumped milk and formula on top of nursing. But if you're getting plenty of diapers that's a good sign baby is getting enough.

My MIL told me that best milk doesn't fill up a baby as much as formula so they get hungry easily with just breast milk so that may be the case. My daughter does both milk n formula she eats more with breast milk aline

Sometimes they also just want to suck on something and may not still be hungry (or perhaps just my experience with my new LO). I didn't initially want to use a pacifier while breastfeeding but it has helped as I was going to keep feeding him but instead he started sucking the pacifier and went to sleep.  Just mentioning as an option...

My baby boy was born 2 weeks before his due date, at 8lbs.
From 2 weeks he was doing maybe 5oz-6oz of breast milk, then 4oz of formula. He only had formula if he was sick all the breast milk I had (usually he is only sick if he eats 7oz-8oz) and my boobs weren't ready yet, and he was getting really worked up. 
Since he was born early he was having issues digesting the milk enzymes which would result in lots of gas and being sick sometimes. We have fixed that now!

If your baby if still hungry after a feeding, offer an additional ounce and see what happens. I breastfeed and I feel pumping may help you measure what they are eating and what you offer additionally.

My son is formula fed and 3 weeks today. Up until a few days ago he was also eating 2oz every 2 hours and still acted hungry. We bumped him to 3oz every 2.5/3 hours and it's working well. At night he can even go closer to 4 hours between feedings.

My daughter she just turn 3 weeks old i can have her on my breast for an hour as soon as i lay her down she starts crying because she hungry i give her 2 oz of formula and she be ok. 😔 sucks because i only wanted to do breast milk!

I Breastfeed exclusively but only threw pumping & bottle feeding, my little man started wanting to eat all the time around 2-3 weeks as well, my lactation consultant suggested that he was going threw a growth spurt! He's 5 weeks old only and I always have to have a 3 ounce bottle prepped and ready!

My little man will breastfeed for 10-20 mins each breast (20-40mins total) then will take 2-4 oz of formula on top of that every three hours or so. He's three weeks old. Every feeding feels like a lifetime 😩
