stay at home mom with degree? what's your background

Question

I was just curious about the backgrounds of those of you who are stay at home moms. I have a bachelor's degree and have been told by my hubby that he supports the idea of me staying home if I want. but I feel like I earned the degree and should use it and work (at least as of right now I feel that way haha haven't tried going back to work yet from maternity leave).

I don't see how a degree of any kind plays a part in deciding on staying home or not.

your degree will always be there, that's where your hard work pays off. no one can take that away from you.
personally, i feel like you will never have another 'firsts'.. i'm glad i've been a sahm for this first year of her life. it's been so amazing watching her grow and i don't feel like i'm missing out on the outside life at all.. it'll still be there when i go back.

I was a SAHM for the most part of obtaining my master's degree. I got my degree in May and have been a full time SAHM since June. I also feel that since I earned my degree, I want to use it. However, the degree will always be there and my time spent with my little one (now 3) is precious. I do eventually would like to go back to work when the time is right for our family. ☺️

I have a trade school diploma and I'm going to go back to school to be a practical nurse when my last baby is 5

Working on my MBA! I'm a sahm currently, but take classes when I can where my husband works (he gets allotted certain number of credits annually). Plan to go back to work in a year or maybe less, and keep working on it 😃

I have a graduate degree (JD) & am currently not using it as I am mostly at home with my baby. I've always planned on being mostly at home with my babies, since long before I got my degrees. :)

I have a master's I received 4 years ago which I haven't used for a single day of employment. I spent 3 years post grad in a job that required no degree simply because it paid more, then quit my job to have a baby. 
I have multiple health problems that get in the way of me working a full 40 hour week, which is why I got the degree in the first place. It provides me with the opportunity to work as much or as little as I want anytime in the future. Once my son is in school, I will have the opportunity to use my degree. Until then, I'm balancing meager payments on 90k in student loans.

I've been with my husband since we were in high school. We went to college together and took every class together. I only got a a college degree to have it in case something ever happened to him, because I always knew I wanted to be a SAHM like my mother was and like most other Southern mom as I knew growing up.
