Losing My Virginity..

So my boyfriend (who I'm madly in love with) and I had sex for the very first time yesterday morning (both of us were virgins and used protection). I'm supposed to be starting my period in a day or two but I can't quite tell if I'm still spotting from losing my virginity or if I'm starting my period. Any thoughts on how I might be able to tell? or should I even be worried?
