Ovulating?

This is my first month using ovulation test. Is this negative?

The test line will need to be as dark or darker than the control line (as well as solid). Know that LH will fluctuate throughout the month and you you could be the type that has a gradual progression towards an LH surge or you could have lines that look light one day and almost dark the next...everyone is different, it's not a pregnancy test...just bc it gets darker from one day to another does not necessarily mean progression. You won't really know until after your first month of testing. DO NOT TEST WITH FMU. Your body does not produce LH during your sleep cycle so the levels of LH will be the lowest in the morning.......lunchtime and dinnertime are best. For those that say digital needs to be tested in the morning, that's bc it is not testing LH but estrogen which shows up before LH...you still need to test later in the day. 
If your really curious about it and found a deal on opks, go ahead and test twice a day during your fertile period and on into your next cycle. But only to know what it looks like during a cycle.  You shouldn't really test after your fertile period bc you will still get faint lines and it will make you question everything. 
If you see a post saying you can use opks as an early prego test, take it with a grain of salt. LH and HCG are molecularly similar so an opk can pick up HCG and produce a positive. Thing is that by the time it's positive on an LH stick, you should get a positive on a prego. Also, you get a LH surge the day before your period to halt progesterone production and ready the uterine lining for shedding if there is no pregnancy.
