Would you buy a puppy without hubbys consent?

My husband didn't want a dog. For years. He finally changed his mind after months of me begging but wants me to wait until April 2018. I found a beautiful tiny maltipoo that I want. But he refuses. I don't think it's fair. When I said I wanted kids, he originally said yes. Then changed his mind and that was that. No if ands or buts. I got played out and now I won't be having any kids with him. And now that I want a dog, I don't think it's fair that he's trying to dictate that as well. He's not a controlling person and he's usually really understanding But when it comes to pets and kids he is very headstrong. Idk what to do. Here's the pup I want...

I don't want to wait...and lose my chance of buying him. ☹️

My husband didn't want another dog after losing our previous one. Well a few months later I found a cutie pie who needed a home and brought him home after hubby said no lol. Hubby saw him and boom love at first sight now they are inseparable and the best of pals. lol.

Puppy aside: its really unfair that you had already discussed kids and that you both agreed to have them. And then later, already married, backing out and telling you no. If you want kids, that's a big issue to not agree on. 
As for the puppy, I would without his consent. My SO trusts me enough to be able to judge wether we can handle a puppy or not financially and time-wise. And it works the other way around. I wasn't even thinking about dogs and then one day, boom. He comes with two. (:

No you shouldn't. Just because you want something in life doesn't mean your partner wants the same. As you've stated above he said no many times. If you don't feel like it's fair to you then it might be time to leave. You can't compromise on shit like children and dogs. They take a lot of time and attention and it wouldn't be fair to buy a dog without telling him. Plus it seems like he is already compromising by saying to at least WAIT. You sound like one of those married women who poke a hole in the condom to get pregnant. You two apparently have opposite wants and needs in life and I think you need to figure out where he wants to go with this and decide if is worth giving up on what you want.

when my siblings and I were little, we convinced mom to buy a puppy without our dad knowing. he was pissed for a few days but he fell in love. recently my mom did y he exact same thing, adopt a dog without him knowing, and he's fine with the decision now.

Honey, it's really hard to make a marriage work when you want children and they don't. It leads to resentment. I was in a long term relationship with someone who one day said he would never give me kids. I held on for a while but was miserable. I always wanted children and I realized one day that I was growing to hate not only him but myself. So I left.
All that being said. Yes I would get a dog because I'm the one at home all day and I do the work. I'd only be adding to my own work load.

Get the dog!!!!!! My fiancée and I have a year old son together and he LOVES animals but my fiancée won't let me get one because he says it'll need a lot of attention (which it will get more than enough) but he keeps giving me excuses. We've gone to the shelter before and almost got a dog but they wouldn't let us get her because she was part pitbull and they wouldnt allow us to get her since we had a son (stupid I know). Now I'm dying to get a pug puppy. I know my son would love it and I know my fiancée would too. Right now he keeps saying no, but once I find a pug puppy that needs a home I'm buying it for my son because I know that puppy will be very very loved and taken care of! Your husband is an ass (sorry). He told you he wanted kids and dogs but once you got married he changed his mind? No. Get that adorable puppy and if he doesn't like it then he can leave. Maybe after that you'll find yourself a man that won't manipulate you and will give you what you want in life. Get that puppy!!!

As long as you and you your self can pay for it with no help then don't get a dog. If you can pay for everything, shots getting it spayed or neutered, microchipped, and any emergencies that may come about, all by yourself then yes get the puppy but if you want/need him to help pay for stuff for it then no don't get the puppy

If he lives in the same house as you I don't think it's right to get a puppy he doesn't want. He has to live with it too. Maybe just wait a little while so you're both happy.

I would get that puppy 😍 he's so cute!!! Your hubby will learn to love em lol unless there's a major reason to wait til 2018 (like your house or apartment doesn't approve or whatever) you shouldn't have to wait so long for a sweet baby ❤
