Baby Weight!?

Question

How are so many of you able to estimate your baby's weight already? Whenever I go into my OB, they just measure my stomach and say I'm on track. When I ask about weight guesses, they just give a range of "should be." So many of you post very specific weights.. how do you know??

This is my first & my Dr just does the fetal doppler & tells me everything is fine 😔

From an ultrasound. They do a estimate on the measurements and give you the size.

The only way to estimate ur baby's weight is through a growth scan ... otherwise the growth depends on the size of your uterus like 25cms(+\-) for 25weeks o so and the growth with be in that limit , but actual size can be said only with the scan where they check the size femur bone etc (ftm here this is all I know so far)

Well I go in weekly for an ultrasound due to me being high risk and every three ultrasounds they tell me their weight estimates for my little one

My midwife hasn't said anything. But I don't ask, as long as she says everything is looking good I don't care about his weight. They don't really know anyway, I'll find out when he's born lol

I only know specifics during ultrasounds. I went to a private 4D ultrasound clinic at 27 weeks, my daughter weighed 2 lbs 5 oz. I was able to go back for a free re-scan at 29 weeks because my daughter was being real stubborn during the first one lol. She weighed 2 lbs 15 oz (basically 3 lbs) during that time. I'll have my last insurance-covered ultrasound at my OB's office next week at my 32 week appointment. That will probably be my last chance to know what my baby weighs until I give birth.

I'm high risk so I have an ultrasound every visit. They measure weight and size each time. It's one of the only perks of being high risk.
