I've had an abortion and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. This is a controversial topic and I'm wondering how the majority of women feel about this? Do you think abortion should be legal? Do you believe women's rights should be recpected?

People just need to learn to stay out of other people's lives and also stop controlling them. I believe you can have as many abortions as you want and it wouldn't be considered murder. You're alive after you take your first breath of air, just like you're dead after you have your last breath of air, but so many people believe differently. Telling someone what they should and shouldn't do with their bodies is incredibly inappropriate. If I want to have 20 abortions, that's my choice, no one else's.

I, myself, would never get an abortion. But I would never stop another woman from choosing to, nor would I judge her for it. But, I also believe that unless medically necessary, abortion shouldn't be legal after the first trimester (12 weeks).

I don't necessarily fit in either poll option. I think it should be legal but only up until a certain point. I don't think abortion at full term is ethical. 
And, I think every woman deserves the option of abortion if that's what she wants.  it's all circumstantial; Just because it's legal doesn't mean someone whose pro-life is going to be forced to abort when there's other options for them to consider. Just like someone who wants the option to abort should feel supported with that decision.

I've had several miscarriages and have found out I will never be able to carry to term but I still 100% support everyone's right to decide for themselves and applaud you for being brave enough to admit it here couldn't think of the right word, (admit makes it sound like a crime confession but it's really not and you've done nothing wrong I just genuinely can't think of the right word to use). A close friend got pregnant while in an abusive relationship and she had an abortion, it gave her the strength she needed to leave the looser BF behind and move on with her life. She now has two beautiful daughters and doesn't regret her decision to abort for a second, it was right for her at the time.
I also went with my step daughter last year for her to have an abortion, I made sure she knew that she was making the right choice for her, talked through all the good things about being a young (19 yrs old) mother and all the downsides. The fact she was jobless, her BF is still at uni, they are living with his parents, it really was the worst time and their lives would be over before they've really begun if they went ahead with the pregnancy. Told her she would have our support no matter what. She did get quite emotional once it was done and I spent almost two weeks of holding her through sobbing but once her hormones settled down she felt much better, it was almost a year ago and she can see now that it was the best choice for her as she is still not in a stable enough place and would be dealing with everything she is already dealing with plus a newborn (baby would have been around 2 months old by now). Plus as much as she feels like a grown up she is still immature, it was like hitting my head against a brick wall trying to get her on BC afterwards to stop (or at least limit) it happening again, she was too unreliable taking the pill so went for an implant instead in the end which gives her three years and by then they may be ready to start TTC.
