Cloth (reusable) or disposable diapers?

Please explain (pros/cons) and share any personal experiences if you have any :)

I fully intended to do cloth diapers with my son, and we ended up doing them "part time". The first couple weeks we did disposables because we were just wrapping out heads around everything and the convenience won out. But we switched to cloth during the days and still did disposables over night. As my son got older he would sleep longer at night in disposables because they were super absorbent and he didn't wake up wet. But during the day cloth were great.  We use seventh generation and honest companies disposables when we do them. Good luck whatever you choose!

Cloth diapers are so easy anymore! I'm only 22 so everyone looks at me like I'm crazy when I say I want to use cloth diapers but disposable diapers are so bad for the environment and cloth will save us a TON of money. I will be getting all of our diapers (all in ones, adjustable sizes) for about $175 off of Etsy with a discount.

Cloth diapers have come a long way! There are many that are just as easy as disposable, and if you're breast feeding you don't have to worry about washing #2. We plan to use disposables for the first week or two until all the meconium is out then using cloth. It is more affordable, better for the environment and gentler on baby's skin. We will be doing so much laundry anyway what's another load every few days. There are tons of resources online to learn how to care for cloth diapers
