Hair Stylists Advice Needed

Betthany

Okay, so I may have dyed my hair....alright I DEFINITELY dyed my hair. Let's just say, it didn't go as planned. I bought hair dye that was supposed to be 3v, or a dark brown plum, and used a 20 volume developer (I had some grays that needed covered) However, it didn't come out quite like that. I applied the color, waited 30 minutes, and then rinsed. The shower looked like someone slaughtered Barney in my bathtub. I used a color sealer and a conditioning treatment. The problem is, when i dried it, it looked like straight raspberry in top, and almost black on the bottom. I thought it would be more of a chocolate brown with a slight purple tint in the sunlight. So, now I need to fix it. Should I use a color remover and then just dye it my normal, chocolate brown or can I bypass the color remover and just re-dye it the brown? I'm naturally about a level 3, with slight red under tones. Help me not look like Barneys long lost cousin!
