So confused 😒

The last couple cycles I've been using OPKs and I have gotten my peak at cycle day 17. This cycle I felt some cramping on cycle day 12 did a opk and it wasn't quite positive but close. I did not do another one because I figured I'd ovulate in a day or two. Yesterday was cycle day 17 and I felt a little cramping again took a opk negative. Tonight cycle day 18 I felt a stronger cramping not particularly on either side thought it was odd just took another opk and it was not positive but it was darker then yesterday's. what is going on 😭😭😭😭😭😭 has this happened to anyone else? Maybe I didn't ovulate the first time ? CM on cycle day 12 was watery. Then I dried up (sorry gross) no excessive cm right now.
