Decided to Sit Out for 2 Months
I had never been pregnant after years of trying. My husband has a reoccurring brain tumor that is currently in remission, but will reoccur. His medicine, craniotomies, and resections have caused him to have sexual dysfunction where he's unable to ejaculate during intercourse due to damage to that part of his brain. I was morbidly obese and lost 185 lbs.
I've been going strong since starting to see my RE in October. I had a HSG prior to seeing my RE and was told I had a blocked tube. My RE reviewed it and said it was a blockage caused by an air bubble. My second HSG confirmed they are both open and ready to roll; however he did find some uterine polyps. I had a d&c; late October and had that corrected.
Fast forward to my first iui in January, I got pregnant and MC around 5w and a couple of days. We did our fourth iui and I've had wonderful numbers, follicles, etc and so has he. NO PREGNANCY.
This month would've been my due date and I've really been struggling. He didn't understand my depression until I explained to him that this would've been our due date and now, nothing.
We have two more iuis left until my RE wants to consider IVF. I made the consultation appointment and canceled it. I really want to remain positive and optimistic. I know we can get pregnant, it just hasn't happened again and there's no way this will happen without assistance.
After months of all of these drugs, shots, over stimulation, cysts, tears, and disappointment, I decided to sit out this past month. I'm strongly considering sitting out the upcoming month, as well.
Can any of you ladies share some success stories after sitting out and allowing your body to reset? On a positive note I had a VERY strong ovulation on my own this past month.
I'm really ready to have a baby in my arms instead of just my heart. I'm in need of some encouragement.
