pregnancy and nausea medication
Recently one of my good friends found out she was pregnant and is extremely happy about it. This will hopefully be her and her husband's rainbow baby after 4 miscarriages that left them devastated. She is in the care of a high risk OB because or her medical problems. She was given a list of medications that are supposed to be safe during pregnancy. However, Zofran an anti-nausea medication was on this list. Zofran has been linked to a number of birth defects to include but not limited to cleft palates and cardiac malformations. The only FDA approved anti-nausea medication is Diclegis. Please make sure you research any and all medications prescribed or over the counter before you take them. You can do this by searching drugs.com, checking Google for specific medications (make sure the site is a credible source) and also by asking your pharmacist.
