Telling my mum I'm pregnant
Sorry this is so long
So I'm now 18 years old been with my partner since I was 14 and now expecting a baby with him. I'm almost 12 weeks pregnant
Around about 8 weeks I was incredibly exhausted and sleeping an awful lot which raised alarms for my mum as this wasn't normal for me after a week or two she came to me and asked me if I was pregnant , I was disappointed that she had asked as I wanted to tell her on her birthday as a surprise. I told her I was and that I wanted to tell her on her birthday and her reply was " I'm so glad you didn't you would have ruined my day ".
I've literally never felt so unsupported by my mum , since then she has gone on to say several things which make me feel like she's embarrassed and highly disappointed in me such as
"I will tell your grandparents it's mine"
"I think it's my job to tell your grandparents not yours "
" we can tell everyone it's mine and not yours "
" your not to tell any of the family "
I'm so happy I'm pregnant and so excited to meet my baby and so is my partner but i just feel like she's not going to let me look after my own baby and will interfere , she's so embarrassed of me and I just don't know what to do.
We are planning on moving out soon after the baby arrives
Any advice would be amazing thank you
