Is it normal to bleed for ages when you first start on the pill??

Depends what you mean by ages. If you take the pill on the first day of your period it's normal to still bleed for a week or so.

Ugh girl when I started I bled for THREE AND A HALF weeks. It was awful. 
It finally got on schedule after a couple months.

I was off my old birth control for a week and a half and then my new doctor prescribed me a new brand I started it when I started my last period which was like 2 and a half weeks ago and I havent stopped bledding since :/ im almost due for my next period already. so I'm not sure.
