I want a bit of advice...my mum is desperate to be at the birth of my first baby, she has always wanted to see one of her grandchildren being born, and she is closest to me than my brothers and sister..

The problem is, my partner thinks it should be an intimate thing between just me and him and he's not comfortable with my mum being there. I don't want to upset my mum by saying she can't be there, but I also don't want to upset my partner by saying I am having her there.

Help please!
