Is your July baby still rear facing?

We are still rear facing but the law in my state is a only year or 20 lbs. We plan to as long as possible and know it's recommended until two. Picking my daughter up from day-school today I was the ONLY parent in her class that was still rear facing. I was shocked and wondered if this was the norm? Seems so early..

I live in NJ so the law is 2, my husband is also a police officer and he's taken classes and seen some things that make him want to rear face our daughter as long as possible! When the legs get long, they can cross them! Please don't let anyone make you feel badly about rear facing!

I plan to rear face my son as long as possible. I live in NJ and state law dictates the child be rear facing until at least 2. I would be absolutely heartbroken and so guilt stricken if god forbid we got in a terrible accident and he internally decapitated for lack of muscle strength and it could have been prevented if I would have left him rear facing.  Don't worry about what other parents think do what's best for your child.

Here in PA they have updated the law that states the child must be 30lbs AND 2 years of age!

Rear facing is best. I know it's easier to just turn around and see your baby's face or hand him/her a toy, but their necks are not developmentally ready to be flung forward in the event of an accident. After being rear ended with my babe in the car (pretty hard) and didn't have a scratch, ounce of pain, nothing, he will be rear facing for as long as possible. We even got the graco extend to fit. Don't let others influence your baby's safety. It's what's best, mama ❤️❤️

I like in the UK but my son has been in a front facing car seat since he was about 7/8 months old! His legs were to long for a rear facing one.

We just flipped my son at almost age 3. My July baby will be rear facing til 2 1/2 or 3 as well.
