cervical position question

My cycles are irregular right now due to coming off the pill. My cycles should be around 35 days, I had a positive opk on day 19 which should be normal for a 35 day cycle and my cervical position then was low and open so I thought for sure I ovulated. I am now on day 52, I know I'm not pregnant and thought for the heck of it I'll check my cervical position. It's currently low and open again, and I felt the pain in my ovaries this weekend like I was ovulating. We bd on Sat and Sun. Do you think I am just ovulating super late?
