So firstly and most importantly, my due date is November 8. I went overdue with both of my previous kids so I'm not holding my breath on going early. My best friend came to me last month and asked if I was okay with her having her wedding November 25th (they've been engaged over a year and decided they wanted a wedding this year) . I said sure, not realising that was her way of asking me to be in the bridal party until later when she started asking my opinion on dresses. So then I started doing the math. On the slim chance I deliver on my due date, I'll have a two week old baby. If I go overdue, she will be even younger. Too young for me to feel comfortable with leaving her at a family members house, but also too young for me to want to take her with me to the wedding. I'm also going to be on maternity leave and money is tight due to work cutting my hours. The dresses she's looking at are around the $200 mark, which if I was given enough notice, wouldn't be an issue. I told her this, and then get told her hens party will be five hours away and cost us another few hundred each, on top of me being 36-38 weeks pregnant. I really don't feel ill be up to it but I don't know how to put it delicately - I know how excited she was to have me in her party. Help!
