My doctor told me anything up to 100.3 is considered a normal temp for a newborn. I was freaking out because she over heats very easily. They didn't seem concerned if I could cool her down by taking her down to her diaper.

ours tells us to get the read from his temple everytimr I take it it's between 97.4-98.9

How old is your baby? If he/she is young, it won't read correctly and can give a false temp. At least that's what our pediatrician told us.
