Discharge turned green

So I've already seen my midwife and had a swab today and I'm waiting for the results, my discharge has been stringy and like a mucus plug for a while which I was told was normal but yesterday the colour went from white/clear to green, a snot coloured green and my vagina is sore, swollen a bit also, she said it could be thrush but I always assumed thrush makes you itchy as mine has always sent me insane with itchiness but this is just sore and burning. I'm assuming an infection? My little man is doing great, had a scan yesterday and he's so healthy and happy in there. I'm 16 weeks and 5 days, has anyone ever had this? I have no pains and my midwife said it should be fine and infections are common in pregnancy
