Baby's weight?

Question

I may sound totally stupid, I'm a FTM. My son is 7 months old and 19 pounds, 28in. He's not exactly chubby but has a teeny belly ha. His dad is also very tall so he long. When does their weight gain start slowing down? I'm concerned that if he's 19 pounds now he'll be like 40 pounds when he's 1. He just had a checkup and his dr said he's growing perfectly. So he's healthy, but I'm just curious.

No reason to worry. My 7 mo old is 20lbs, 11oz, and 30in. Not fat, just a tall boy but with all the rolls! Love!!! They'll slow down once they're more mobile. For now, enjoy all of those extra pounds to snuggle! 😊

lol!  Don't freak out!  Your son is at a great weight.
 
My son has always been in the 99 percentile (since birth).  He weighed in at almost 24lb and measured in at 27.5 inches for his 6 month check up.  He is a giant baby, but is also very healthy... just ahead of the curve.  His growth is already slowing down though.
