Blocked Fallopian Tubes

I need some insight from others that are experiencing this issue. My husband and I have been TTC for about a year and a half. We recently starting seeing a fertility specialist. After my HSG exam we have discovered both of my tubes are blocked. I went to discuss options and the Doc basically said IVF is the way to go. He said that my tests indicate it could be due to endometriosis. I would really like to look into surgical (or non-surgical) options to try and unblock my tubes. Has anyone ever had this experience? What did you do? How did it work for you? Any stories/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
