How long does your baby sleep?

Question

Aurora is 18 weeks old and doesn't goto sleep till around 11pm sleeps to 3 am eats then sleeps till 7am eats goes back to sleep and sleeps to 12pm. Then she's up till around 4 pm and usually cat naps a bit off and on but is usually awake most of the time after that. Does that seem like a crazy sleep schedule to anyone else? How long are y'alls May babies sleeping?

4 months old next week. We have the same bedtime routine we've ,had for the past 2 or 3 months. We do last bottle about 9:45pm, bath time and then snuggles and he's out by 11pm every night. He sleeps anywhere from 6am to 8am, eat then back to sleep, then he's up at 10am or 11am for the day. From the time he's awake he sleeps every hour and a half for 20 or 30mins then wakes up to eat and play then repeats till around 4 or 5 in the evening and then he and I will take a nap together anywhere from an hour to 2 hours, then he's up and back on his schedule of eat play sleep till 11pm and then it starts all over again lol. We are night owls, my husband works from the afternoon till almost midnight, and I work 2 days a week and only 11am to 5pm, so his schedule is perfect for us. Eventually we'll move it to an earlier time. but right now it's just what we need.

My girl will go to bed between 8-9pm, sleep until 5:30-7am. Take a bottle and usually up for an hour or so, then asleep until 11am. Then we tend to have an eat/sleep/play cycle if we are at home. She usually is up for about an hour and a half before needing a snooze. Sometimes the snooze is short (20-30mins), other times it's long (1 1/2 hours). I will continue to just follow her lead for now. I have found that whether I let her nap how she wants thru the day, or try to keep her up, she sleeps the same at night. In fact, on days when she naps pretty regularly, she sleeps better at night. Even when her last snooze is in the evening (between 5-7pm) after a bottle.

My daughter is 16 weeks, not even close to sleeping through the night :( sigh lol. She normally is in bed and asleep by 6pm, sleeps until about 10, wakes up to eat, back down until around 2-3 am... eats, then goes back to sleep until 5:30-6 when she is up for the day. We do eat, play, sleep routine during the day.... so she will probably have anywhere from 2-4 naps during the day of varying lengths.... sometimes as short as 20 minutes, sometimes an hour and a half... if I'm lucky ;)

What I learned during 4 month regression:
🌙 it goes hand in hand with the 4th leap(wonder weeks)
🌟 baby is learning how to link sleep cycles(now capable of light and deep sleep like us big kids)
🌙 baby is using their sleep safety system before going to a deep sleep(basically checking his surroundings to make sure they haven't changed from when he fell asleep, and if they did, he can wake and cry)
🌟 baby needs external cortisol regulation=naps and mom(his melatonin production does not mature until 6m, therefore, being consistent with naps will help keep cortisol low.)
🌙 Cortisol is baby red bull. It causes body to be on high alert>>>baby fights sleep as body thinks it isn't safe, thanks cortisol>>>baby sleeps little or wakes often resulting in the ultimate over tired crank. 
How to manage:
🌟 try to avoid any form of sleep training at this time. The 4th leap is intense. Let baby learn one thing at a time.
🌙Change is hard for everyone. A baby can't Google what's going on with them so they need their solid rock during big changes(you and a routine)
🌟 don't layer your support techniques(if rocking is helping, don't start singing, bouncing and shushing. Add to your support as needed, from simple to "anything just so you sleep")
🌙 stay consistent
🌟 start putting baby to sleep 15-30 minutes before their window of wakefulness is up
🌙 have a basic nap and bedtime routine(our nap routine: draw curtains, cuddle or swing, change diaper, offer milk, do whatever it takes 😅 nighttime: milk, cuddle/play, use all energy on crawling, have a swim and a bath, massage/lotion, diaper, pjs, milk, and again whatever it takes to sleep)
🌟 if baby is crying as I'm rocking, those tears mean he's begging for bed, he'll him
🌙If he wakes but cries, help him back to sleep. Talk to him softly and rock him gently. If he has a need for food or affection, meet it and support him back to sleep(a need is a need even at night)
🌟 30 minutes for a nap is OK, he'll sleep longer once he learns
🌙If a tried and true method isn't working anymore, don't throw it out. It will work again. Stay consistent as that will help your baby through the change
🌟 you will sleep again, it's just a phase. Next phase is teething 😭😭😭
🌙 ask for help, it can get really hard really fast, but then it gets easy again

We just went through the dreaded sleep regression a few weeks back, but now at 20 weeks she is sleeping from 7 or 8 pm, until 6am, hopefully I'm not jinxing it😂

That seems like a lot to me, but I know all babies are different. Our little one goes to bed at 8 and gets up between 6 and 8 AM usually. She used to sleep through the night but about three weeks ago she started waking up 2-3 times during the night. 
She hates napping lately! She usually takes a long morning nap after her first feeding, then after that just takes a few half hour catnaps. 
She averages about 12-13 hours of sleep a day. I keep reading that babies this age should sleep more like 15-16 hours a day, but my friends who have kids assure me that that is rare.

My LO is 4 months and tends to fall asleep with us in the living room around 8. I put my 5 year old to bed at 830 and then wake her up at 9 for her last bottle but most times she's just out while we do jammies and her bedtime. She sleeps them from 7-8 and is down for a nap by 9 which can last anywhere from a half hour too 2 hours. She eats at 1130 and then back down for a nap around 1. Eats at 230 because I have to get my daughter from school at 330 and then naps again about 5-630 then it's bath, and bottle and playing till she passes out again around 8. I think 11 is a very late bedtime for a baby this age. My LO as newborn wouldn't go to bed till 10-1030 and we slowly moved it up. If your lifestyle can handle her sleeping habits and it works for you then let it be! This is just what works best for us.

My daughter will be 4 months on the 19th. She goes to bed between 7-8 and wakes between 5-6 to eat and sometimes goes back to sleep for an hour or 2 then up for the day. Stays awake for a few hours then sleeps for 30 minutes or so. She rarely takes long naps... I wish.

My daughter is 16 weeks on Sunday. She's been sleeping through the night since she was 5 weeks old. She used to sleep from 9pm do 6am straight through and now sleeps 9pm to 8am. Naps are a whole other story haha she doesn't nap much. But thankfully she's a very happy baby 90% of the time. We're now working on set nap times and creating that type of schedule for her.

My daughter is 20 weeks and sleeps around 14 hours a night with 3 feeds in between, then naps around 4x a day for like 5 -10 mins each nap. She still sleeps alot but my child care health nurse said if its what she needs it's what she needs.
