Hospital pictures?

I know the hospital offers to take pictures of the baby, are they worth getting it done? I know they are pricey. And do they look good? Just curious cuz this baby should be here soon!

An iPhone takes better pics. The ones of my daughter were not good at all from the hospital and they were so expensive

Honestly, they're so expensive. They gave me a website to go on to see the pictures and if I wanted to purchase them. I screenshot them. I'll probably get an earful about this from other women on here but oh well. I'm not paying so much money for pictures when I could screenshot for free and still have them 🤷🏻‍♀️

My aunt has a really nice camera and she is going to take photos of the whole family immediately after birth, including my first nursing session. I can't wait.

In my opinion not worth it, you can often go to a photographer later and get even better ones for cheaper. That's dependent upon your location though. In my city newborn photography is easily $400+, so we're going to our small hometown for them and they'll only be $125. Usually photography isn't something to skimp on because when you do, you end up with bad pictures. But the photographer we're going to is amazing!
