Recurring Urinary Tract Infections! TTC Baby #1 😡😭
Hey ladies I'd really appreciate any advice at all from ladies going through the same or similar experience. I've been having urinary tract infections for the last 9 years now!! And yes I have been to the doctor and the specialist to no avail 😭
I am 21 years old and my partner is 24, we have been together for 3 years and he is clean(STI) as am I, and I mean like clean clean hygienicly as well. We are at the point where we are both having showers with fragrance free soap before anything happens to ensure that nothing agitates my vagina or anything else in that area. I pee before and after sex, I've tried cranberry juice, antibiotics the doctors prescribed, drinking over 3ltrs of water a day, fragrance free washing powder, wearing cotton ugly undies all the time, ph balanced famine wash, changing my diet to ensure I'm not consuming sugary drinks or foods, thrush cream, thrush tablets, probiotics....I've stopped taking any antibiotics the doctors have prescribed me for the last year and started my natural journey in the hope that this could also work, but yet again I still have get these aggressive urinary tract infections 😭
If you can name it I'm sure I've tried it but I'd basically given up on everything until my partner yesterday turned to myself 2 months ago, after having young ones around our home for a while, and told me that he wanted to try for our first baby. I do admit I squealed a little inside as I want nothing more than to become a Mum after being very young and having a miscarriage myself which was very sad but I wasn't ready myself to have children.
I started getting urinary tract infections way before I became sexually active and since becoming sexually active Ive only ever slept with 3 men including my partner who were also clean from any STI's, and also very hygiene wise clean. I've tried to investigate for so long my own body and tune into everything that it needs or doesn't need, and I still can't work out what is causing the infections or how to prevent them 😭
It's come to the point where I have them at least 5 out of 7 days a week if not the whole week, my periods are very irregular from this and have been for years on and off different contraception methods also. Which I stopped all of my contraception 3 years ago almost to the date :) This makes it very hard to know when I'm ovulating and easily gets you over exciting when seeing you are a week to 10 days late which happened only last week to myself. We were both so disappointed but still want to try and conceive.
As well as having irregular periods, horrible mood swings and excruciating pain to the point where it becomes incapacitating, it in turn effects our sex life as anyone who has experienced a UTI would know...you don't really want to put yourself in further pain.. I'm a really horny person I can't help myself when I'm alone with my man and nor can he but this puts a stop to things on so many days. Surely this would not be good for my vaginal health either I can only imagine horrible environment that his swimmers have to get through if they even make it 😭
I'm at the end of my teether with this ladies and seriously need some advice or even motivation, feel free to ask me any questions if you think it might get me somewhere, please help!!! I would nothing more for my man to become a Daddy ❤️
