Ovulating twice instead of period?

Okay, so I started my period August 11th it ended August 17th. I took ovulation tests which said I ovulated on cd22 (Sept 1st). I was supposed to start my period this last Friday on the 15th, but I didn't. I took a pregnancy test and it said negative. Then yesterday I had some spotting not enough to use anything. Sooo fast forward to today, I took a pregnancy test- still negative. I took an ovulation test this morning the lines were kinda dark, I just took one again and they're getting darker which means I'm gunna start ovulate again? What does that even mean? I'm so confused/ and I have right ovary pain.. I don't know if it's normal to ovulate again instead of starting my period. Anyone?
