Entertaining baby?

Question

What do you do to entertain you baby . My daughter is so spoiled I'm trying to get her to be a little bit more independent and playing more. She does like to crawl around and explore like I see other babies do . She get bored with the toys I buy? And recommend toys? Anything?

Melissa and Doug make some great toys! We just got ours the play kitchen that keeps her entertained for hours. Maybe park or play area when they can play with others would help with independence?!

I have little bins around my sons room and it helps a lot. One has stacking cups another has balls another has musical instruments etc. I learned in a class it's good to keep things organized and separated. He loves it and has played for 30-40 min on his own and plays with just about everything lol.

I relate to this so much!! My baby is only truly happy when she is outside. And it's still soooo hot here that I don't like to be outside more than a couple minutes. She's fine when shes watching little baby bums but I hate putting it on for her sometimes because I feel guilty using tv to keep her entertained. But she really just won't play with toys longer than a couple minutes. And I have NOOOO idea how some moms read books to their babies. she can't stay still long enough for me to get past the first page.

My girl is like this too. She's not much into her toys. She has a select few that she'll play with for more than 5 minutes. But even those it's 10 mins lol. She'd much rather explore. So she basically crawls around the house. I go on walks with her. The only time she'll stay contained without screaming is when she's moving in her stroller. I point at the trees and people and talk to her. I also recently joined a Mommy & Me group which meets on Tuesdays. She absolutely loves it because she loves babies and kids.

We got a Busy Zoo block which our daughter loves! It holds her attention about as long as anything else. We also go on lots of walks to the park and read books often.

They need things that helps them use as much of their skills as possible. You can start with toys that she can make do something (press a button and it lights up, twist something for something to come out), the cause and effect aspect will help challenge her, they also like taking things out of places, and recently my son has started putting things in places. He has a big puzzle and will take the pieces out and place them in his toy box. My son also likes to explore things like plate, big cooking spoons, but I try to make sure he spends time with the toys that he can do more with. Also encouragement is big, just keep watching her and when she looks at you give positive encouragement. Melissa and Doug make different take out/put in toys and big wooden puzzles, those have been a hit around here. I hope I explained well enough to give you some ideas. But still on some days when they're crawlers they just want to explore.
