Failed Plan

Katie

I told my husband that I am going to stay up and wait for him to get home every night this week so we can have some alone time (when our 3 year old is asleep). He is a police officer and works 2nd shift. I work first shift hours at a credit union. We barely see each other. Tonight was night one. I just finished getting ready for him. Shaving, hair, make-up, clothes....I wanted to take his breath away again. As soon as I buttoned my shirt (his shirt) my phone rings 'Babe, don't wait up...I'm going to be a while. I'm ok, and I'm coming home to you.' He says this to me every time something serious is happening. I understand it's his job, and he's putting his life on the line every night. It seems every time I plan something, something comes up.... I figured I might as well take a few selfies since I'm all dolled up....just wish it was being put to good use.

UPDATE: I sent these pictures to him this morning after I left for work. His response was '❤️I'm so tired'. ( he got home at 2am) I get it he is tired. I understand that, and respect it. But....whatever....
