baby rice cereal?

I have introduced solids at 6 months , with veggies puréed and fruits only so far. My baby is 6 months and 2 weeks . 
Do I need to feed her rice cereal as well?
And how many meals (solids)are you feeding your baby? I only give her in lunch time

We've been experimenting with solids for a few months now. The pedi said give him everything we eat just puree it. So far his favorite is turkey and veggies. We add a little peanut butter to purees to help avoid nut allergies. The only thing I don't give my babies is cereal. There is no nutritional value so why bother. I don't use purees to replace bottles. All his meals are formula, purees are just for fun to get him use to new tastes and textures.

I started mine with rice cereal because my ped said I should because of the iron in it but I stopped and now just make sure I give her iron rich foods. Her formula also has it so I'm not worried. It really doesn't have much nutrition value.
