being induced- help????

Question

I was due sept 16th, I'll be induced this Friday and I'll be 40 weeks +6 days. anyone care to share their experience? I'm nervous, but also relieved. any advice would be greatly apperciated. my induction is scheduled 9-22-17, at 7am.

Be patience! Every one experience is different. I was induce with my first and second and labor took 24 hrs with one and 22 with the second. 
All I can tell you is to relax and enjoy the experience. 🤷🏻‍♀️

it's really not too bad. if you need it, get the epidural so you can sleep.

I'm not trying to scare you, just telling you my experience with it. I got induced on 6/21/17, I ended up having to have a c section because I wouldn't dilate passed 1cm and my daughters heart rate dropped significantly after the doctor broke my water. I had to be put on oxygen to see if her heart rate would go back up. it wasn't my choice to get induced, I had to because I was showing signs of preeclampsia and got sent to the hospital twice in 4 days, some people have great experiences with it, but mine was horrible. I honestly hope I dont have to get induced with my next child. I hope you have a much better experience than I had!

also my advice to you is ice chips are amazing and induced labor is worse than natural labor, if you want pain medication don't be afraid to ask for it

i had to be induced, and my experience wasn't peaches and cream. they didn't even induce me until 11 that day. i had to call twice (@ 6am and @ 8am) before finally being told to go in at 9am. most of the people working on my L&D; were students, and my OB/GYN had never shown his face during my whole pregnancy. Had shots of pain medicine (yeah I'm a wuss), and after that i tried enduring it again. NOPE! contractions had me in TEARS. finally got an epidural, but i think by the time they had everything they needed i had to push. they still gave me the stupid thing, and it was an hour before i got to push. never again will i deal with ignorant quacks.

Before Friday walk a lot, have sex, bounce on s yoga ball and do squats. Inducing labor is painful and sometimes people end up having c-section.
