Sigh.. false positive= now trying metformin

So yesterday morning I had a false positive. After I took the test and got excited, I called the dr to go in for a confirmation test and blood work. The doctors pee test came back negative, I'll find out if the blood test is negative either today or tomorrow. However the dr suggested after my next AF, if it comes, she is going to put me on Metformin (spelling)

For anyone else who's taking this, did you conceive easily, after starting it? Are there side effects?
