Boyfriend won't let me go to the gym?

My daughter is two months old and we have a gym 2 minutes away in our apartment complex. I asked him to please watch her for an hour while I go and he will NOT.. I'm completely frustrated because he always tells me how I need to work out and lose all the weight I gained with being pregnant.. and now I'm trying but he won't let me go. He says we can go on a walk together but the walks don't do anything!

He kind of sounds a bit abusive telling you that you need to loose weight and won't let you go to the gym.. maybe he is insecure or is scared you might find somebody better and leave. Maybe try to talk to him?

Maybe he gets jealous? He sounds kind of controlling :/ tell him your going to work out and that your doing this for you if he has a problem then still do it, he thinks he is your boss.

This wouldn't fly with me. Parenting is50/50. If he can leave to do what he wants, you can too. Also he shouldn't be putting you down for gaining pregnancy weight. Sounds controlling.

Why ask for permission? Let him know you're going and he needs to watch his daughter. He does sound controlling and abusive, gotta shut that shit down ASAP, otherwise your daughter is going to think that's what she should expect from a relationship.

Um number one it's his kid too. He can watch the baby. Number 2 nobody would be telling me I needed to lose weight. Is he muscular and skinny? Wow just wow. Why do women let their significant other run shit? My husband helps all the time he's home and would never tell me to lose weight.
