Fertility testing before TTC?

I'm wondering if people typically test for fertility issues like PCOS or other disorders/conditions before TTC. I'm sure people who's families have a history of problems do, but what about the ones they don't have any history. Is it a good idea or a waste of time?

I was technically tested before ttc because I was having some severe severe cramps when AF would come, my gyn sent me to a specialist and he went over pretty much every thing from other dr I’d ever gone to and decided I didn’t ovulate. So he didn’t test my blood but checked over at exploratory surgery I’d had previously. Idk if that makes ANY sense but yeah. 😂
