Can pumping really cause labor?

Question

I'm 36 weeks and am pumping so I have colostrum to bring to the hospital, I'm producing and everything but have any ladies actually sent themselves in labor via pumping?

Yes pumping really can send you into labor because the hormone released when you letdown is the same one that causes contractions.

Whyyyyyy what's happening to this world. The baby is to get the first part of the breast milk when it's born why would anyone think to pump before the baby even comes. Like seriously did you mom or her mom do that. Which doc told you that's ok did that docs mom do that. What's wrong for a baby to suck the milk itself 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️☹️☹️. Smh this world.

I'm confused as to why you need to bring colostrum to the hospital? Your body will produce what your baby needs. Honestly, pimping too much will cause an oversupply. I'm on number two, breastfed number 1 to 9 months (I had PLENTY in the freezer) and didn't start pumping until he was almost 8 weeks old.

I'm almost 38 weeks! And I've been pumping since I was 36 weeks! I haven't gone into labor yet but I go to have my baby tomorrow. I pumped about an hour ago and got 3.5 ounces.
