Religion In LDR?!

I'm currently in a long distance relationship and I love it. Recently however we started on the topic of religion. His religion is very important to him. It is the Islam religion. I pretty much don't really have a religion since I haven't been to church in over a year almost two years now. I'm fine not having a religion but according to him it is better for me to pick a religion. This has been a non-stop topic now. so my question for you all of you guys out there, what is yours and your partners religion views and how do you manage it? 
Also If there is someone who follows the Muslim Islam religion I could really need someone to talk to please.

Nobody, whether they are Muslim or Christian or Jewish (etc.), has the right to force you into "picking" a religion.

A little background for me real quick: I met my current boyfriend of almost a year while studying abroad in Morocco during the 2016/2017 academic year. He is Muslim and I am Christian (though I sometimes wonder if considering myself a deist is more correct). I have many Muslim friends and though I am not Muslim, I feel very much connected to my Muslim brothers and sisters. 
Coming from the Midwest United States with both sides of my family rather conservative Christians, I get a lot of crap about our interfaith relationship. Some of it is subtle. Some of it is blatantly rude. Ignorance will always be present from those around me, but I try to educate them and myself on my religion and his. 
The thing about it though - even when I am trying to look at Christianity from multiple sides, when I might be questioning certain things in the Bible or how my interpretation of my own faith fits in with what Christianity is traditionally perceived as, my boyfriend is at my side. When I tell him about my doubts, he doesn’t tell me Islam is the answer. He doesn’t pressure me to think about reverting. He tells me to pray about my questions, read the Bible more, or talk with my mother about it. He will tell me how he perceives things with his background as a Muslim, as a believer of the Prophet Mohammed, and as a believer of the Qu’ran. 
Never once in my own soul-searching has he ever hounded me or tried to push me towards Islam in specific. As a Muslim who believes in God and wishes for others to know God, he just wants me to have a knowledge and relationship with my Creator, and he understands my Christian background is a part of my spiritual identity.  I have asked him before if he would ever want me to be Muslim, or what his family might think if I’m not a Muslim, and he has told me that he loves me for who I am, no matter where my questions of faith take me, and that his family would be curious, but they wouldn’t push me towards anything in particular. He is happy to embrace whatever I grow into even if it isn’t Islam.
Having so many Muslim friends who are so special and wonderful, I have wondered who I would be if I reverted to Islam, but I really don’t see too many significant differences between a Christian/deist me and a Muslim me. I’m not really supportive or enthusiastic of Sharia, or taking the Prophet’s life from the late 500s and applying them to today. I also don’t believe that my boyfriend will go to hell because he  isn’t a Christian or because he doesn’t believe Jesus was the son of God. I don’t really quite align with certain Christian or certain Muslim beliefs. My boyfriend understands this and believes communication and loving me in the present in important.
If you are considering Islam, I just encourage you to study as much as possible and to ask every question under the sun - especially the hard questions. As those a lot. Muslims are a group of people blessed with diversity, and I would strongly encourage you to have deep discussions with as many different types of Muslims as possible - very conservative ones, very liberal ones, more moderate ones, Moroccans, Saudis, Egyptians, Turkish, American, Jordanian, Palestinian, hijabi girls, non-hijabi girls, your unspecified Arab coworker’s grandmother, etc. 
I know that the interpretation of many Moroccans are different of that of Saudi Arabians, and I personally identify with slightly liberal Moroccan ideas of Islam. They are who I feel most connected to just from my experience living with them in their country (and of course, my friends and boyfriend influence that a lot). 
It does concern me that your SO is pressuring you so frequently and hard, and I think it is important for you two to sit down and have a long heart-to-heart about that. If you didn’t revert, would that change your relationship with him? He should be trying to help educate you, but I personally feel slightly uncomfortable with the way you have described him hounding you so much about it. What are his true concerns and thoughts that are leading him to be so aggressive?

My boyfriend and I, 4008 miles apart right now, are both atheists. I was raised with very strict religion, and it became an incredibly traumatic and damaging experience for me. So for me, personally, I could never be with anyone who had an extremely different world view or believe system than I. 
However, I know some successful couples who don't see eye to eye on that type of thing, so it certainly can be done!!

I've always been on the verge of Christianity since my whole family is Catholic/Non-denominational Christians, and my Husband (we're LDR right now due to schooling/work) has never been affiliated with any religion even though he went to a Christian school his whole life like I did. When we first started becoming a couple, the biggest thing between us was religions, because we kind of were confused on where the other person stood and was going and I didn't want to worry about his afterlife if we were to become more than just boyfriend/girlfriend. After a couple of months, I realized I wasn't religious at all and couldn't be. He's practiced many different things spiritually, and at first I didn't agree with what he was practicing, but then he ended up growing up some more and he changed with his practices and now he's much happier with where he is spiritually in what he does, as am I. In fact, now I even would consider myself spiritual, which is something I don't think I ever would have even considered if I hadn't been for him.
So, I guess what I'm saying is: Don't let religion/spirituality get in the way of things. If he truly loves and cares for you, he won't pressure you into a belief that is his own. My husband has NEVER made me feel bad for not believing in a religion/doing something spiritual. I did it all on my own, I just ended up asking for guidance from him cause he knew the most about it. If you end up wanting to become Islamic, then go for it. But always always ALWAYS make sure that you stay true to yourself and to what YOU want to believe in, not because of him/someone else. 
There's nothing wrong with not believing in any sort of religion/spirituality or even if you do believe in something it's okay! But it's not okay to fall under someone else because they want you to. Take a step back, breathe, and maybe have a relaxed chat about why he's suddenly feeling the need to push this on you so much, and ask him why he maybe doesn't think it's okay to keep whatever beliefs you do or don't have? Regardless of whether you believe in a religion, you're still the same person he fell in love with.
