Neighbors

So let me ask a question. Give me some opinions.

One of my neighbors has a fenced in yard. A garage. All that good stuff. Which is fine. Their property whatever. Their children come over to play in our yard.

The other set of neighbors have elderly people that live with them and are in some ways incapable of taking care of themselves that walk thru our yard, and young children that play as well. They have no trespassing signs up in their yard and a dog that runs with no leash.

So we were advised to put up no trespassing signs to save ourselves from being sued if someone would hurt themselves. We aren't going to call the police if someone walks onto our yard. It is so we aren't liable for anyone being hurt.

We are now being told that we are being passive aggressive and rude because we chose to limit ourselves from liability. Are you serious right now??! Everyone else has a say in what they do with their houses..but we shouldn't with ours? I have no idea where to post this, so I apologize if I put it in the wrong place.
