Weird spot on chest

Kind of a weird question but I have had this weird red spot on my chest for 2-3 weeks now. It is occasionally itchy. It sometimes gets dry and peels a little. I have tried moisturizing it with Vaseline and putting a band aid on it and didn't see any difference. Any ideas on what it might be?
