Cookie recipes?!

Question

I want to make my boyfriend a treat, I usually just make him those Pillsbury cookies where I just have to throw them in the oven bc I’m afraid I’ll mess up if I try to bake from scratch 😅 but I want to try and see how it goes.
Do any of you have some good recipes for home made cookies?!
He likes softer chocolate chip cookies 🤗

Also to make cookies softer use more brown sugar than white and slightly undercook them, they'll continue to cook on the pan as they cool

so what I do is I take the basic Betty Crocker recipe and add some instant coffee to it. you don't brew the coffee, just add a couple teaspoons of the powder into the batch. I won a small baking competition with it. entered in the childrens competition (I was about 10) and they ended up moving me to the "professional" category (adults that either worked in catering or something like that). and I won first prize. it wasn't anything fancy or special but really made me love baking more. it was a small baking competition in my hometown.
