How do you ladies deal with a MIL that refuses to accept that you are the mother of their grandchild and not just an “egg donor?”

I have been with my husband for years at this point and she’ll go above and beyond to ALWAYS make statements that absolutely bother me. She’ll say stuff all the time about it only being his daughter or his princess, or even calling it her baby but NEVER acknowledging the fact that I’m the mother in ANY WAY.

At first I tried not to let it get to me but at this point I just feel blatantly disrespected and I don’t even know how I would go about saying anything to my husband without him getting pissy with me and defending her..
