I want to become a nurse

I am 20 years old and I have not completed high school. I dropped out my senior year. I know stupid. long story short I want to become a nurse at a hospital. I am working on studying for my ged. I need some help and some steps on how to accomplish it. Its a lomg shot but I was in foster care till I was 18. I heard they would pay for my college my I don't know if that counts now because I waa going through a lot at the time I dropped out. homeless ect. but I really want to do more than what I'm doing now. I dont know if id be better as a case worker or vet assistance...I need some steps and advice would be greatly apprectiative
