Non stop spotting!!

Hey girls I really need your opinions. I've been on a combination birth control pill for over a year now, I've skipped my period once before and I decided to again this month however I have been having a lot of brown discharge since day 1 of my new active pill pack. I've been having this moderate to heavy brown discharge/old blood for 13 days straight now and still have 7 active pills to go before my placebo week. I'm really concerned this didn't happen the other time I skipped my period? It's really annoying and what should I do? Do I just continue to ride it out until I get to my placebo pills?
