When to start preparing?

I'm almost 6 weeks with our first baby, and trust me, I know it's supper early still so I'm not jumping to get anything yet. 
I was just wondering when everyone started to buy things, like a crib and changing table, things of that sort?

Were nesting over the summer bc I’m a teacher so I’ll actually have time to focus on baby and family... plus we’re moving first 🤪❤️.
I’m 17 w 5 d. Today 🤪😍☺️🤰🏼

I am 18 weeks and we have our anomaly ultrasound and hopefully gender reveal tomorrow.
We plan to start nesting after that. We have already started some small prep on the nursery and baby gates already up separating the first and second floor stairs.

I bought my baby's crib before I was even at 10w. I'm 26w now and his room just needs cosmetic things, plus I'd like to get a pack and play. Aside from that, we're ready to go. It's such a relief, honestly.
