Birth Control Pregnancy?

So I've been on Birth Control pills for a couple months now. My long distance boyfriend was coming to see me so I took the placebo pills a week early so I wouldn't be on my period when he came. We had sex and he finished inside me. That was 3 weeks ago. I was supposed to start my period two days ago and it's REALLY light. Is that normal for me taking an extra week of pills or could I be pregnant? Any advice on what to do to normalize myself again if I'm not pregnant?

You can't do that. You need to take 21 pills in a row and then have the 7 day break.. Or you can just start on the next pack and skip the break/bleed, it's normal to do that. You don't really need to have a break. I would take a pregnancy test to be on the safe side. It's totally normal for your periods to become lighter and shorter while on the pill but do a test to be sure.

You definitely did not use birth control correctly. You cannot use placebo pills when you feel like it. You have to take all pills correctly to be protected. Definitely at a risk for pregnancy. Take a test. If it's negative, please read your pill's prescription information and speak with your doctor on how to correctly use the pill.
