Bf wants me to abandon my dog 🐶

My bf/ fiancé doesn't like dogs and wants me to put my 4 yr old dog Maggie up for adoption. If I pet her he gets mad and calls her dirty but also says because I leave her at home all day bored when I go to work or school that I don't love her and she needs a better life with other people. She is the sweetest thing and I have no regrets rescuing her from her old home. I love her so much but all my bf wants to do is fight about getting rid of her 😔😫 I don't know what to do! Can someone please give me some real advise?
