Johnson & Johnson?

Question

Is J&J; no longer a good brand for babies? I've seen some comments lately saying to not use it. I have a few items of theirs, baby head to toe soap, baby lotion, baby powder(haven't used it yet) and I'm just wondering if I should get other stuff. Most of the stuff I got as samples or snagged from the hospital so I haven't spent really anything on buying it if it's crap now haha

Download the app called Think Dirty!! It's an app that is pretty much a third party analyzing the safety of products based on their ingredients. They rate all kinds of products from 0-10 based on their "safety" 0 being totally natural and safe 10 being dangerous because of certain ingredients in that product. I scanned all my baby's bath and body products and threw out all the J&J; too much perfumes and added crap. We now only use organic, natural cleansers and butters on baby. Dr. Bronner's is an amazing brand for natural bath and body! Great on baby's super sensitive skin!

The products are fine to use, it's a bunch of hoohah. EVERYTHING on earth will "cause cancer." My ped did say they were a bit harsh, like a little bit goes a long way and parents tend to overuse. But if your baby doesn't react to them, it's probably fine!!!!

They’ve always been horrible. I’d never purchase them. You should download the app Think Dirty so you can see how many horrible ingredients are used in their products. It’s almost scary.

I've used them on all 5 of my kids, except one who had severe eczema as a baby. My oldest being 21 and youngest 13 months. I will be using them on my newborn when she is born in January.

J&J; is fine lol.. they have been around for so many years. I'm in my early 20's and my sister is in her late 20's and our mom used J&J; on us both and we're fine.. I will be using J&J; but I also have other brands too like Dove & aveeno.

Johnson&Johnson; spends tons of money testing their products and they've been slowly removing the harmful ingredients that everyone is wailing about. There are definitely more natural products out there, but don't think that you're giving your baby cancer if you use J&J;! My mom used them on my siblings and me and my MIL used them on my husband and his siblings, and we're all fine :) Personally, I'm using California Baby and Shea Moisture on my son, but if I was gifted J&J; products I'd probably keep them because at some point you'll be desperate for anything lol.

It's totally fine. Baby powder is the thing that got all the hype going, but really baby powder doesn't seem necessary on most babies

It's their baby powder that contains talc that is very bad. Always use cornstarch based, never talc. Ive also heard they put some kind of extremely harsh chemical in their baby wash, but the validity of that I don't know
